General Program Information

The traineeship is open to pharmacists from all practice settings. There will be one traineeship session in 2014: November 3-6. Four pharmacists will be selected.

The traineeship is four days in length, Monday through Thursday. There is a mandatory orientation meeting on Sunday evening. The traineeship will be conducted at the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois.

DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IS JUNE 2.

Please read this information and the Policies and Guidelines carefully so you have a clear understanding of the traineeship goals, structure, and content, and the application procedure.

Trainees are responsible for all expenses related to travel, accommodations, meals, and incidentals. Trainees must make their own travel arrangements to the traineeship site. The ASCP Foundation will coordinate hotel accommodations, but trainees are responsible for payment. Trainees should plan to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. Sunday preceding the traineeship for an evening orientation session. The Traineeship ends at 5:00pm on Thursday.

  • The primary focus of the traineeship is Parkinson's disease, although other movement disorders and conditions will be encountered.
  • After the traineeship, participants are expected to prepare two case consults for which they made recommendations for treatment or interventions to improve care of patients with Parkinson's disease.

All applications must be submitted electronically by completing the application form online and emailing it along with the "Additional Application Documents Required" (Exhibits) to jfeinberg@ascp.com.
